QuestionsThe Founders plan closes permanently and the Developer plan at $19.99/month becomes the entry paid option. Anyone already on Founders keeps their rate for as long as their subscription stays active.
Yes. As long as your subscription remains continuously active, you keep renewing at $19.99 a year. If you cancel and later come back, you would sign up at whatever the current pricing is.
Developer gives you the full API at 2,000 requests an hour. Pro raises that to 5,000 and adds capabilities heavier workloads need: downloading attachments from test emails, inboxes that live 24 hours instead of 2, and 20 simultaneous waits instead of 5 for parallel test suites.
Not necessarily. The free tier gives you 150 requests an hour with no signup and no API key, which is enough to evaluate the API and run small projects. Upgrade when you need webhooks, OTP extraction, a higher rate, or commercial use.
Every API call counts: creating an inbox, listing messages, reading a message, deleting an inbox. Checking an empty inbox counts too, so if you poll frequently, factor that in. The wait endpoint is one request no matter how long it holds open, which makes it cheaper than polling.
Yes. The Node and Python SDKs and the MCP server are open source and free to install. They are clients for the API: what you can do through them depends on the plan your API key is on, or the free tier if you use no key.
By default 2 hours, or 24 hours on Pro. You can ask for longer when creating one, up to 7 days on Founders and Developer, or 30 days on Pro. That matters for testing email that does not arrive immediately: trial-expiry notices, weekly digests, and follow-up sequences that land days after the signup that triggered them.
Yes. Paying yearly works out at two months free: Developer is $199 a year instead of $239.88, and Pro is $299 instead of $359.88. You can switch between monthly and annual with the toggle at the top of this page.
Your access continues until the end of the year you have paid for, and then stops. There is no pro-rated refund for unused months, which is standard for annual software subscriptions. If you are within 14 days of paying, ask for a refund instead and you get the full amount back.
Yes. Cancel the monthly subscription and start an annual one, or email [email protected] and we will sort it out so you do not pay twice for overlapping time.
Yes, anytime, from the customer portal. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
You get a short grace period rather than being cut off instantly, so an expired card does not break your test pipeline overnight. Update your payment method and access continues uninterrupted.
